The Camondo brothers Abraham-Behor and Nissim settled in Paris at the end of the Second Empire, in two mansions on rue de Monceau. Through Charles, Renoir depicted all three of Louises children: Elisabeth and Alice in the double portrait mentioned here above, and Irene in a beautiful solo portrait. It is named after the Camondo family, a European family of Jewish financiers and philanthropists..
